Cheers Phill. As mentioned in the thread that phillw shared, the DLL issue can be serious. Thanks for response both, the account on the machine is a local admin account, as there is other software that requires admin rights also. The Drivers seem to be installed correctly but the DLL still appears.
HPC have sent me 2 versions of Lasercut 5. Annoying the 2nd one they sent me is being blocked at install by our anti virus!
Just been reinstalling it over the top each time. I doubt they do it for linux, can you not revert back to Win 7? Our laptop is only used for the lasercutter and is not even on the network so, although it irks the network manager it is staying as a win 7 machine! Does the lasercut not appear as a device in the Printers and devices menu?
Lasercut will create a warning message to indicate that the Laser cutter is not actually connected to the computer, but the software will progress to the download page anyway. The laser cutter can read these files directly from a USB stick when it is inserted into the machine. In the demonstration mode the standard save functions have been all been disabled, however when the application attempts to exit the user is still presented with an option to save their work.
This oversight can be used to create Lasercut files while running in demo mode. As mentioned before though it is advisable to create cutting files before trying this because if something does go wrong the application will have exited and the work will be lost.

To manually update the driver right click to an item in device manager. Select Update driver and then manually select the folder downloaded in the first step. Windows will then determine which driver is best for your version of windows and update appropriately. There are two versions of Lasercut located within the program path, a full version, and a demonstration version.
This version gives you complete control over the laser cutter. You can download jobs to the laser, adjust the cutting position and start a job all from within Lasercut. This version of the software has limited capabilities; in particular, it does not allow you to save your work and it does not connect to the laser cutter the program will crash if this is attempted.
There are workarounds which allow you to prepare files while using the demonstration version.

I am currently running it on a lasercut 5.3 windows 10 in a windows 10 emulator, it is a bit slow is the only problem so I suppose a native Windows 10 will be OK.

I don't see an uninstall. Any insight that frees up my disk space would be appreciated. I used to use it but only with Win7 as Wimdows couldnt get full functionality with Can I use other laser software on these Chinese laser machines?
I'm running it on win 10 nicely. I did this; Please complete the following steps. Install the laser software as standard for a step-by-step guide please see the Windows 7 software installation instructions.
Enter the start menu and click on power icon in the lower left of the screen. While the computer is restarting press the shift key and right click the mouse.
